๐ Thank You, Brothers Family ๐
A huge thank you to everyone who donated and showed their support for Chelsea Middleton and her family at the club this weekend.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our Brothers community, we raised over $560 to help Chelsea and her family as they navigate the road ahead.
A special thank you must go to the referees, who generously donated their referee payments for the day. Your selfless contribution and support are greatly appreciated and are a wonderful example of the rugby league community coming together when it matters most.
We are incredibly proud of the support shown by our players, families, volunteers, coaches, sponsors, referees and supporters. Your kindness and generosity are a true reflection of what it means to be part of the Brothers family.
Thank you also to everyone who wore blue and helped spread messages of encouragement and support.
Chelsea and her family remain in our thoughts, and we know the Brothers community will continue to stand beside them every step of the way. ๐๐ค
๐ตโช Brothers TJRL would like to congratulate all of our girls who recently attended the Darling Downs and South West representative trials. Simply earning the opportunity to trial is a fantastic achievement and a reflection of the hard work and dedication these girls put into their footy.

๐ Brothers Supporting Chelsea Middleton ๐
This Saturday, our Brothers family will be showing support for Chelsea Middleton, our very first Girls Club Captain.
Chelsea was involved in a serious accident last week and is currently in hospital in Brisbane.
We ask everyone attending this weekend to wear something blue, Chelsea`s favourite colour, as a show of support and solidarity.
We will also be collecting donations throughout the day to help Chelsea and her family during the challenging journey ahead. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will be greatly appreciated.
Please keep Chelsea and her family in your thoughts. Let`s show them the strength of the Brothers community. ๐๐ค
โช๐ต๐Remember, We Are All Volunteers๐๐ตโช
As the season progresses, it`s a good time to remember something that is often forgotten...
Every coach, manager, League Safe, First Aid Officer, referee, committee member, canteen volunteer, grounds person, and executive is a volunteer.
Some volunteers give an hour a week. Others give 40. Many spend their evenings, weekends, and holidays planning, organising, communicating, attending meetings, completing compliance, preparing fields, managing teams, and solving problems behind the scenes.
For our players, a rugby league season might last around six months.
For many volunteers, it is 11 months of planning, preparation, and sacrifice to make those six months a positive experience for our kids.
Most volunteers are balancing club commitments alongside full-time jobs, family responsibilities, and their own personal lives. Yet they continue to show up because they care about the players and the community they are helping to build.
At times, volunteers are required to enforce rules, policies, and procedures. These aren`t rules they create themselves; they are requirements put in place to keep our players safe, ensure clubs remain compliant, and allow competitions to operate successfully.
Whether you`re a parent, player, coach, League Safe, referee, committee member, or supporter, please remember that every person wearing club colours is doing their best.
And this isn`t just about our club.
It`s about every club.
Every weekend, across every field, volunteers are giving their time so children can play the game they love.
So next time you see a volunteerโwhether it`s at your club or another clubโtake a moment to remember that they`re doing their best. Have some understanding, show a little patience, keep the attitude in check, and be pleasant. Volunteers aren`t asking for recognition, they`re simply giving their time so our kids can enjoy the game they love.
Because without volunteers, there is no game.

๐๐ค The Brothers family is thinking of former Brothers Junior, Chelsea Middleton, and her family following the terrible accident she was involved in last week.
Chelsea was a valued member of our club, playing at Brothers Juniors through to 2023. Many within our Brothers community will remember Chelsea and will be saddened to hear of this news.
During this difficult time, we ask our Brothers family to keep Chelsea and her loved ones in their thoughts and prayers.
A GoFundMe has been established to help support Chelsea and her family as they focus on her recovery and the challenges ahead. Any support, no matter how big or small, would be greatly appreciated.
